With two weeks to go in the American Golf charity Christmas raffle in support of On Course Foundation, the South’s golfers’ are proving to be the U.K.’s most generous, with 1500 more tickets sold than their nearest rivals, the Central region.
With just 20,000 tickets available at £1 a time - and prizes donated by some of golf’s biggest names – the nation’s golfers have been lining up to raise money for forces charity On Course Foundation and their incredible work that uses golf to support wounded, injured and sick Service Personnel. With two weeks to go until the raffle closes on 31st December there are still plenty of tickets left, along with chances for the Scotland & North East, Central, and Northern regions to topple the South from their position as the U.K’s most generous.
Top of the festive giving charts are currently the customers of the Plymouth Elburton American Golf store with an incredible 764 tickets sold. But hot on their heels and leading the charge for Scotland and the North East are customers of American Golf Braid Hills in Edinburgh. With a mix of regions all through the Top 10 best selling stores, it’s clear that any region could make a late charge for ‘most generous’ and help push American Golf towards it’s target of £20,000 for OCF this Christmas.
The charity raffle is just one way in which American Golf support On Course Foundation and if they can hit the £20,000 Christmas raffle target it will cap an amazing year. American Golf’s Marketing Manager Nina Bebbington explains, “I’m delighted that the U.K.’s golfers have got behind the raffle. There are some fantastic prizes on offer, but most of all there’s an opportunity to help OCF support even more injured Service Personnel than ever in 2019. We’re are on target to raise over £50,000 for On Course Foundation in 2018, and with a final push for the Christmas raffle, we’ll make that target plus a bit more!”
With a top prize of a golf break, including golf and dinner, at one of the five Marriot UK venues, the lucky winner will certainly be beating the January blues. The runners up won’t be disappointed either with prizes up for grabs from Taylormade, Odyssey, PowaKaddy, Cobra and Titleist – a clear indication of the industry-wide support On Course Foundation enjoys for the important role it plays in supporting current and ex Service Personnel.
Tickets are available to buy in American Golf stores right up to 31st December (or until they sell out) so make sure to spare an extra pound, and make a final push for your region, when you head in store to spend any Christmas money or when treating yourself for the new golfing year.
