This year’s Final was meant to be hosted by the previous year’s winners who came from Purley Downs, but as another Purley Downs pair reached this year’s final another neutral venue was required, and Effingham kindly came to the rescue!
Oli Blackman & Kevin Smale were the representing Purley Downs GC, with Ollie Kannemeyer & Ross Hilliar the pair from Farnham GC.
Although a dull October day with some light rain showers the course was in fine condition considering all the recent rain.
At one stage Purley Downs had got to dormie 5up, only for the Farnham pair to fight back winning the next two holes bringing the score to dormie 3, but despite this fight back they just couldn’t keep the momentum going and eventually victory went to the well deserving Purley Downs pair.
It had been a very good battle which was played in fantastic spirit, congratulations to both teams for getting to the final.

After some sandwiches and a drink, the presentation of the Cup was made by Surrey Secretary Steve McNeill.
