Key workers and members of the local community have stepped up in the past few months throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to provide care and support to those that need it most – and they can now be rewarded with some well-deserved leisure time with their family at Cranleigh Golf & Country Club. The popular Surrey club is giving away a complimentary family membership – for two adults and two children – as a thank you to the workers and volunteers that have held the local community together throughout this difficult period. Anyone who has gone above and beyond during the pandemic can be nominated – whether this be an NHS worker, a local resident who has been shopping for people shielding, someone who provides mental health support, or even someone that has made critical PPE – the list is endless of the selfless heroes over the past few months. The membership will give the winner and their family full access to the extensive facilities at the club, including its beautiful 18-hole parkland golf course; excellent golfing practice facilities, which include a newly refurbished driving range and putting green; state-of-the-art gym; 18m swimming pool; steam room, spa and sauna; as well as regular exercise classes in modern studios, tennis courts and a crèche. The club will also be giving away up to 25 day passes for other significant entries. Cranleigh general manager, Nick Hughes, said: “We have been thinking of ways that we can thank the noble heroes in our local community for their hard work, dedication and public spirit during these unprecedented times. “These people have spent this time helping others, probably with hours away from their own family and little to no leisure time, and deserve to be rewarded and thanked for everything they have done. We know this is a small gesture in the grand scheme of things, but hopefully the winner will be able to enjoy an escape and some rejuvenation with the excellent facilities we have here at the club. “If you know anyone who deserves some quality time with their family and an opportunity to relax, please nominate them!
