LINE UP ANNOUNCED FOR PROJECT 24 - 24 Hours to raise 24 thousand for the 24%

A Team of passionate golfers and fundraisers are heading to Norway in June to play golf for 24 hours. Their ambition is to raise enough money to buy at least one Paragolfer, but hopefully with wider support a few more, as well as raising awareness of disability in the UK.  Led by Cae Menai-Davis, Founder of the Golf Trust, the Team includes a few well-known names in the world of golf and several individual and corporate supporters of The Golf Trust.

The Project 24 Line Up is:

·       Adam Baker, PGA Member and Golf Trust Co-ordinator

·       Cae Menai-Davis

·       Eddy Foggy, Laureus / Sport for Good

·       Geoff Swain, Golfunplugged

·       Glenn Stevens, Hiscox UK

·       Liam Harrison, Golf Mates

·       Luke Barden, Warner Hotels

·       Thomas Morgan, British Gas

The Teams will play as fourballs at Lofoten Links, starting at Midday on the 20th June 2024.  The Golf Trust is embarking on this remarkable challenge to raise awareness of disability in the UK.  Over 16 million UK residents, that’s 24% of the UK’s population have a disability[1]. A large proportion have little or no access to sporting activity and Cae believes that golf can fill that gap for many.

“I have been bowled over by the response from people wanting to take part and raise money for Project 24,” he commented.  “We want to create a network of Paragolfers across the UK that will be within an hour’s drive of any wheelchair users, because recreational sport is as important for disabled people as it is for able bodied people.  This will be a really hard challenge, but we hope to raise a significant sum of money, and as importantly, raise awareness of an issue that affects a huge number of people.”
