Surrey Seniors Qualify for the English Seniors County Finals

The Surrey Seniors headed to Norfolk for the South East Group qualifier for the English Seniors County Championship July 18-20th. The venue was Heacham on the North Norfolk coast for two rounds of strokeplay with five scores counting from six players.

A strong first day placed us second, four shots behind Kent (who were on one over par). A fine 67 from Simon Crockett set the standard. Indeed, Simon would win the 36 hole individual prize on -4.

The second day was close between Surrey, Kent and Sussex. However, consistent scores from all players gave us a combined total of 9 over par for the ten counting scores and a victory by four shots over Kent.
